About Sophia Kay Dersam
Sophia-Kay Dersam is a 7 year old from the heart of Cajun Country in Lafayette, Louisiana.
When she isn’t shining on the pageant stage in her current title of International Junior Miss 2018 Louisiana Jr Princess, Sophia-Kay can be found brightening the days of kids hospitalized in Louisiana through visits and sharing her Sophia’s Smile Boxes, the Louisiana division of Emily’s Smile Boxes. Running her own not for profit organization, Sophie-Kay shares her bright sparkling smile with kids in the hospital by giving them boxes packed with toys and games and activities.
Sophia is a homeschooled 1st grader in Louisiana, and has 3 brothers, 3 sisters and 3 dogs!
Sophia loves Giant and Red Pandas and wants to tell everyone she meets about ways to help pandas, and would like to be a panda saver when she gets older.
