"Hello, My name is Aryonna Martin, I am nine years old and I was recently crowned your Little Miss United States 2018. I am so excited to begin my journey and educate young and old on my platform Comfort Cases. A national organization that supplies duffel bags, toiletries, and other useful items for children who are in foster care. Our goal is to replace trash bags in the foster care system and supply the foster children with these bags. We want every Child to Feel Like They Matter!
I will be in the fourth grade this year while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I am on the student council, a tutor for my classroom and I was awarded the character award, for displaying kindness, compassion leadership in and out of the classroom. This award meant a lot to me, as it was only awarded to one boy and one girl out of each grade. I am also a dance student. I take ballet, hip-hop, tap and jazz. Hip-hop would have to be my favorite, because it shows my personality.
Community service is a huge part of who I am. At the age of six years old I began my own charity every child matters. Every child matters is where I collected duffel bags for foster children So their belongings were not thrown into trash bags. This is personal for me because my aunt who is a CPS worker had to remove my own family members, and place them in foster care. I learned then that foster children’s belongings were thrown into trash bag. I decided that I wanted them to have a safe Place for their belongings and I began using my birthday money, Christmas money and set up fundraising events to raise money to buy bags and toiletries for foster children in need. My hard work has paid off I was just recently awarded the title of the very first junior ambassador of the national Charity comfort cases. Comfort cases distributes duffel bags nationwide to foster children in need, each bag has items that are donated to the children such as toiletries, blankets, pajamas and other necessary items that they made need. Our goal is to ban the usage of trash bags in the foster care system. Every child deserves to feel like they matter and they deserve to have a safe place for their belongings. I will be the voice for these children!
One of my favorite hobbies, is modeling. I am the national ambassador of the kid’s skin care line Season’s Kisses. I Have been the front cover and back cover of several model magazines, walked in Gotham Hall for New York Fashion Week and currently have been invited to meet with an agent in NYC."
